Vol. 40 No. 7

Death of Deputies. - Message of Condolence.

Since the House last met Deputies will have learned with regret of the death of two members, Deputy Peter de Loughrey and Deputy William P. Aird. Both Deputies had long and honourable association with this House and with other representative bodies in the country. They had, also, had intimate connection with the commerce of their districts. Deputy de Loughrey before re-entering the Dáil had been a member of the Seanad. Both had earned the highest respect and esteem from the members of this House. I would ask you, sir, to convey to their wives and families an expression of our very sincere regret and sympathy.

Deputies rose in their places.
