Vol. 69 No. 6

Death of Deputy Eamonn Rice.

The House will have learned with great regret of the death of Deputy Eamonn Rice who had been in failing health for some months past. Deputy Rice was associated with the movement for Irish independence from early manhood and gave devoted service to the movement in time of difficulty and danger. He was deservedly popular amongst all Parties in this House of which he was a member since 1932. I ask you, A Chinn Comhairle, to convey to Deputy Rice's widow and family the sincere sympathy of Dáil Eireann.

Deputies rose in their places.
