Vol. 249 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ballymun (Dublin) School.

367.

asked the Minister for Education why sub-standard conditions are prevailing in the school for under six year olds in the vicinity of Church area, Ballymun, Dublin; and whether he will take immediate steps to rectify the conditions; and whether he will arrange for temporary hygienic facilities for these children immediately.

The school referred to is a former school building which is being used temporarily to relieve overcrowding in a neighbouring school pending the erection of a new school.

Certain improvements have already been carried out in the old school and others are in hands. These will make the accommodation reasonably suitable for the limited period for which it will be needed.
