Vol. 259 No. 1

Written Answers. - Offaly School.

50.

asked the Minister for Education if the title difficulties relating to the levels on which his Department proposes to build a new national school at Shinrone, County Offaly have now been resolved; if so, when building is likely to commence; and if he will make a full statement on the matter.

Satisfactory evidence of title to the main portion of the site for the new school has been furnished. Title to the remaining plot has not yet been fully cleared but it is expected that good title to this portion will be forthcoming shortly.

My Department are now in a position to sanction forthwith a grant for the erection of the new school. When the grant has been sanctioned it will be a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works to make the arrangements for the erection of the school.

It is not possible to say at this stage when building work will commence.
