asked the Minister for Defence if he will reduce the age limit for special allowances in line with the reduction to 68 years in the limit for old age pensions.

In order to benefit under the Deputy's proposal a veteran would have had to be not more than 15 years in 1921. Theoretically this would be possible. At this point in time such a change could have very little effect if any, and it is not proposed to alter the existing conditions.
