Question:103 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance whether he intends to require tendering for all contracts placed by semi-State bodies for architectural or consultancy services.

This is one of the issues examined in the report on guidelines for State bodies prepared at my request by the Secretary of my Department. I am at present considering the findings of the report, in consultation with my Government colleagues, with a view to the formulation and implementation, in agreement with my colleagues, of guidelines for State bodies.
