The Houses of the Oireachtas Debates Office produces the Official Report of the proceedings of both Houses of the Oireachtas and their Committees.
Working at the centre of our democracy, Parliamentary Reporters are responsible for logging proceedings in the Dáil and Seanad and at Committees and with producing the official record of debates. The nature of the work means Parliamentary Reporters will be required to frequently work very late hours, often beyond midnight, at least three days a week on certain rosters.
Applicants must hold a minimum Level 8 (honours degree) in the National Framework of Qualifications and have excellent writing/editorial skills, an ability to work to tight deadlines, attention to detail and strong IT skills. PAS are seeking candidates with written proficiency in English and candidates with written proficiency in both English and Irish.
Two panels may be formed for Parliamentary Reporters in English and English/Irish from which future vacancies may be filled.
Closing date for applications to the Public Appointments Service is 3pm on Thursday 27 April 2017
