The Joint Committee on Business, Enterprise and Innovation will meet tomorrow at 11am in Committee Room 4, Leinster House.
23 October 2017
The Committee will continue its hearings on the cost of doing business. Tomorrow, representatives from Chambers Ireland, the Irish Tax Institute, ISME and ICTU will appear before the Committee.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Chair, Mary Butler TD, said, “At tomorrow’s meeting, we will discuss the submissions made by our witnesses to the Committee on the cost of doing business in Ireland. The Committee is conscious that we must address cost competitiveness issues in the face of Brexit. Commercial rates, regulatory costs and lending rates remain a serious obstacle to growth in the SME sector. Tomorrow we will hear from a variety of representative bodies who will brief us on how Ireland can make real structural changes to increase its competitive edge by reducing the costs of doing business.”
Committee proceedings can be followed live here
Committee proceedings can also be viewed on the move, through the Houses of the Oireachtas Smartphone App, available for Apple and Android devices.
