Troy seeks timeline for wind energy guidelines

A promise to guidelines for wind energy farms would be published in advance of the local elections, was raised in the Dáil by Longford-Westmeath Robert Troy. “We are now in advance of the general election. Will the Taoiseach and Government publish them?”

In reply the Taoiseach said in respect of wind energy guidelines, there will be enough wind around the country generated from human resources that there might indeed be a need for guidelines.

“I will discuss the matter with the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Deputy Alex White, and come back to the Deputy,” he said.
