‌Reform of the public sector and public expenditure is a top priority for this Oireachtas. The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure & Reform will play a key role in scrutinising the work of the two Departments tasked with responsibility in these areas - the Departments of Finance and Public Expenditure & Reform. The Committee will advise the relevant Ministers as to concrete progressive proposals to promote and coordinate economic and social planning.
