Joint Committee on the Environment, Transport, Culture and the Gaeltacht

This Committee has an extremely broad remit and will be shadowing the activities of a number of Departments, covering some important areas of public policy in the fields of transport, the environment, culture and the Gaeltacht, including:

  • achieving balanced regional development;
  • environmental protection;
  • addressing climate change;
  • managing national and local transport issues;
  • and promoting the development of Gaeltacht areas.

What's on this week

The Select Sub-Committee on Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht will meet to consider the Revised Estimates for the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht 2012. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 22 May at 2.15 p.m. in Committee Room 4

The Select Sub-Committee on Environment, Community and Local Government will meet to consider the Revised Estimates for the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government 2012. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 22 May at 3.30 p.m. in Committee Room 4.

The Joint Committee on Environment, Transport, Culture and the Gaeltacht will meet to consider Scrutiny of EU Proposals. The meeting will take place on Thursday 24 May at 10.00 a.m. in Committee Room 4.

The Select Sub Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport will meet to consider the revised Estimates for the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport 2012. The meeting will take place on Thursday 24 May at 11.00 a.m. in Committee Room 4.
