The Seanad Public Consultation Committee has decided to carry out a public consultation on farm safety.
Interested organisations and individuals are invited to send written submissions on this issue to the Committee. The Committee will review the written submissions and may decide to invite some contributors to address a public session of the Committee. When this process is complete, the Committee intends to publish a report.
Submissions should not exceed 5 pages and should contain the following information:
(i) The name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number of the organisation or person making the submission;
(ii) A brief introduction indicating any experience, expertise or background you may have in this area;
(iii) Factual information, observations or opinions that you believe will assist the Committee in drawing conclusions;
(iv) Changes that you believe need to be made to legislation or to public policy.
Submissions will be circulated to all members of the Committee and may be published, in whole or in part, in the Committee’s report and/or on the Committee’s webpage.
Submissions should comply with the Template for Admissibility of Submissions which is contained in the Committee’s Orders of Reference.
Submissions must be received by the Clerk to the Committee not later than 4 p.m. on Friday, 9th January, 2015.
