About Oireachtas TV

UPC has agreed to broadcast the proceedings of the Houses of the Oireachtas on a pilot basis. This service can be found on UPC's Channel 207. This service will be provided free of charge to all UPC's digital cable customers.

As part of our agreement with UPC, Oireachtas proceeding will be carried live from 2.00 p.m on Tuesdays until close of business on Thursdays with coverage of Dáil Éireann. Recorded coverage of sittings of Seanad Éireann and Committees will be then broadcast from Thursday evening until 1.30 p.m the following Tuesday.

    This service is being delivered at no additional cost to the Houses of the Oireachtas or the tax-payer
  • Facts & Figures
    The Oireachtas broadcast will be available through the UPC Channel 801 to approx. 957,842 people or in percentage terms it will reach 20.5% of the population in 328,100 homes.
  • Schedule of programming
    Attached is a sample schedule for this week’s broadcast including both the live coverage from Dáil Éireann and the recorded loop from Seanad Éirean and Oireachtas Committees’ to be broadcast from Thursday evening to Tuesday morning (17 to 22 November).
