• Senator Maurice Cummins has been replaced by Senator Paschal Donohoe by way of report laid before the Seanad by the Committee on Selection on 5th December 2007.

• Deputy Barry Andrews (Fianna Fáil) ceased to be a member of the Joint Committee on his appointment as Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children on 7 May 2008. Deputy Thomas Byrne (Fianna Fáil) was appointed in substitution for him on 26 June 2008
• Deputy Michael McGrath (Fianna Fáil) ceased to be a member of the committee on 10 July 2009. Deputy Seán Power (Fianna Fáil) has been appointed in substitution for him
• Deputy Billy Timmins (Fine Gael) ceased to be a member of the committee on 8 July 2010. Deputy Seán Barrett (Fine Gael) has been appointed in substitution for him
