Joint Committee on Communications, Marine and Natural Resources
The Joint Committee on Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, chaired by Noel O’Flynn, T.D., is continuing its public consultation on proposals for legislation in relation to broadcasting that the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources has sent to the Joint Committee.
Having reviewed submissions already received, the Joint Committee has now decided to hear evidence in public on 10 and 11 January 2007 from selected groups and individuals who have already made submissions on the following issues within the proposals.

The archive of the proceedings of the morning session will be available on-line within 2 hours of the meeting adjourning for lunch, and for the afternoon session with 2 hours of the committee adjourning for the day.

An Internet Discussion Forum on each of the above issues will open immediately after the public meeting on the issue has concluded. This is your chance to have your say on any of the above issues! You can do so by logging on to the discussion forum at econsultation.ie. You will be required to register to participate. The discussion forum will run until Thursday, 24 January 2007.
On conclusion of the consultation, the Joint Committee will submit a report to both Houses of the Oireachtas on the proposals.
