The committee shadows the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and focuses on balanced regional development, rural issues and the arts.
The committee has published Ireland’s first national cultural policy. It provides a vision, foundation and policy framework for the continued vitality, development and viability of Irish arts, culture and heritage up to 2025.
