The Committee on Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth considers and reports to the Houses on the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and the State bodies within the responsibility of the Department. Legislation and European Union matters that relate to the Department and its bodies also fall within the Committee’s remit.
The Committee was renamed during the Dáil term (24 May 2021) and was previously the Committee on Children, Disability, Equality and Integration.
Oireachtas Committees advise the Houses of the Oireachtas on a range of specific areas. Committee members include TDs, Senators or both.
