The Committee considers issues arising from Ireland’s role as a signatory to the Good Friday Agreement and ongoing developments in the implementation of the Agreement. It reports back to both Houses of the Oireachtas at least once a year.

Between May 2022 and March 2023, the Committee met figures who had played a key part in formulating the 1998 Belfast Agreement, more commonly known as the Good Friday Agreement from when it was signed on Good Friday in 1998.
