Barriers to fish migration

As part of its work programme to examine the issue of barriers to fish migration in Irish rivers, the Committee's ten recommendations include the establishment of a national framework to support the removal and mitigation of river barriers at scale and closer engagement between all State or semi-State bodies with responsibility for Irish rivers.

Gas Safety (Amendment) Bill

The Committee's notes the relatively long period it has taken to propose this legislation, which aims to address an inadequacy in legislation with the regulation of liquefied petroleum gas networks, and it notes that the legislation would expand the criteria for appointing gas safety officers and expand their powers.
