The Committee notes its concerns regarding continued investment by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund in companies noted by the UN Human Rights Council database as being involved in certain activities relating to the occupied Palestinian territory.
Report on Politically Exposed Persons
Enhanced due diligence undertaken by financial services against politically exposed persons, who are individuals with prominent public functions and are subject to enhanced due diligence, must be balanced, appropriate and fair. More scrutiny at European level will help ensure such balance is achieved in regulations.
