MINISTERIAL MOTIONS. - NATIONAL CIVIL SERVICE.

The ACTING-PRESIDENT moved and CATHAL BRUGHA (Waterford County) seconded that:—
"Dáil decrees the establishment of a National Civil Service embracing the employes of all public elective bodies, and that a sum of £500 be appropriated for the purpose of the Scheme."
Suggestions as to the scope and working of the scheme were made by Alderman T. KELLY (St. Stephen's Green), Messrs. COLLIVET (Limerick City), MACDONAGH (Tipperary N.), SWEETMAN (Wexford N.), ETCHINGHAM (Wicklow E.), MACCABE (Sligo S.), and BLYTHE (Monaghan N.).
The ACTING-PRESIDENT stated that the Ministry were not wedded to any particular scheme, and that a Consultative Committee would be selected to go into the whole matter.
