MINISTERIAL MOTIONS. - RECOGNITION CAMPAIGN IN U.S.A.

The ACTING-PRESIDENT moved:
"That the President be empowered to expend a sum not exceeding $1,000,000 to obtain the Recognition of the Irish Republic by the Government of the United States."
The ACTING-PRESIDENT explained the proposal and stated that none of this money would be expended unless the recognition was assured.
The motion was seconded by the MINISTER FOR DEFENCE, and put and carried.
