Vol. S No. 6

MOTION RE AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION ¹

1. See Appendix 1.

said that as typed copies of the proposed amendment to the Constitution were now circulated amongst the members he would put forward the motion for adoption. They would notice one thing which was not in it but which they would understand, that when the members of the Dáil were appointed to any position at the head of a Department or other position that their appointment was brought up for ratification by the Dáil as a whole.

There was also an alteration, merely dates, in the matter of Finance making the periods for winding up accounts 31st December and 1st [recte 30th] June.

SPEAKER

said he supposed they could take all this together as all points were fully discussed and agreed upon before.

Motion put and agreed.
