CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - MOUNTJOY PRISON INCIDENTS.

DARGHAL FIGES

To ask the President of the Ministry if he will state the result of the inquiries he promised to have made into the smuggling of arms into Mountjoy Jail and into the astonishing events that occurred in that Jail last week? Further, if he will give the names of the persons who are at present acting as Governor and as Deputy Governor of Mountjoy Jail?

The Military Enquiry which is taking place into these shootings at Mountjoy Prison on the morning of 10th instant has not yet been completed. A number of witnesses have already been examined and it is hoped that the report of the enquiry will shortly be available. The Military Governor of Mountjoy Prison is Commandant Philip Cosgrave and the Deputy Governor is Captain Patrick O'Keeffe.
