Vol. 1 No. 23

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - TEACHERS' PENSIONS.

TOMAS O CONAILL

To ask the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that many teachers who retired from the service of the Ministry of Education on March 31, 1922, on the completion of their full period of service, have as yet received no pension payment, and whether he will, in view of the hardships which this delay must involve, take such steps as may be necessary to expedite the payment of these teachers' pensions.

MINISTER for FINANCE

I am informed that there are three such cases. Pensions in these cases were awarded last week and payments will be made by the Postmaster-General at once.
