Vol. 1 No. 25

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - INJURIES CAUSED BY BRITISH FORCES.

LIAM O BRIAIN

To ask the Minister for Finance whether consideration has been given to the case of persons who have suffered personal injuries or loss of health as a result of attacks by the British military forces or the Black and Tans; if he is aware that many such persons are in extreme need; if he can state when it is likely those cases will be considered, and if, in the meantime, some financial assistance could be given in specially deserving cases, some of whom have had to undergo medical operations, involving heavy expenses.

MINISTER for FINANCE

The question of providing compensation for people who have suffered injuries at the hands of the British forces in the late war is at present under consideration by the Government, and it is hoped to make an announcement on the subject at an early date.
