Vol. 1 No. 29

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - MACROOM OLD AGE PENSION APPLICANTS.

To ask the Minister for Local Government if he will state the reason why Old Age Pensions have been refused to Michael Buckley, Moulnagrough, Carriganima, Macroom, No. 1289 on the Register, and Elizabeth Dennehy, Carriganima, Macroom, No. 1296 on the Register; whether reliable evidence, in writing, from reputable inhabitants of the district, respecting the ages of these applicants, has been supplied; and whether he will direct that the cases of these two applicants be reconsidered, in the light of the local evidence as to their eligibility.

These cases are at present before the Department for decision. There is no direct proof or evidence of age in either case. The facts bearing on the ages of the claimants will be very fully investigated before decisions are made.
