Vol. 1 No. 32

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - A MOUNTRATH FATALITY.

To ask the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that a Mrs. Monaghan, Millough, Rushall, Mountrath, Leix, was knocked down and killed by a lorry containing National troops near Larry's Cross, Mountrath, on March 29th last, and if he will state what steps have been taken to deal with a compensation claim, which was submitted by her husband nearly six months ago.

I regret that there has been some neglect in dealing with this case. It would appear that the circumstances were never properly enquired into, and the case was not followed up. The matter will now receive immediate attention.
