Vol. 2 No. 20

DÁIL IN COMMITTEE ON ELECTORAL BILL. - DINING HALL.

Before we take the order for adjournment I wish to say that the Committee of Procedure met this morning and had under consideration a particular matter of which Deputy McCarthy handed in notice. I think it is in the hands of Deputies and it relates to a matter with regard to the necessity for providing a dining hall.

I beg to move:—"That a Standing Committee be, and is hereby, appointed to make all arrangements in connection with the Dining Hall, and rules governing the general conduct and administration of the same, and that the following Deputies be appointed:—P. Hughes, J. Dolan, D. McCarthy, W.L. Cole, C. Byrne, D. Vaughan, Doctor O'Byrne, D. Morrissey, T. O'Connell and A. Byrne." The Board of Works promised to hand this Hall over complete on Monday next, but it will be necessary for the Committee to get to work at once to frame rules and regulations and appoint a staff and they will want to meet at once.

I beg to second the motion.

Would it not be necessary to state the quorum?

The quorum will be five, and we will have the first meeting on Monday morning.

Motion put and agreed to.
Motion made and question put: "That the Dáil do now adjourn until Wednesday next at three o'clock.
Agreed.
The Dáil adjourned at 6.15 p.m.
