Vol. 2 No. 21

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - INLAND REVENUE OFFICIAL'S CASE.

To ask the Minister for Finance if he has considered the case of Richard A. Johnson, of the Inland Revenue Department, placed before the Provisional Government so long ago as last February, for reinstatement in his position, and for compensation; and what it is proposed to do in this matter?

Mr. Johnson, who was a Civil Servant in Great Britain and not in Ireland, has been re-employed in the Inland Revenue Department of the Free State.

Will it surprise the President to learn that I have had letters from both these persons only two days ago saying that they have not been re-employed?

Nothing surprises me now.
