Vol. 2 No. 32

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - SLIGO STUDENT'S AWARD.

To ask the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that an award of £2,285 was made to John P. Greene, an engineering student at University College, Galway, and now of Pound Street, Sligo, on account of personal injuries received from Crown forces at Salthill, Galway, on May 15th, 1921; whether he is aware that as a result of these injuries this man is unable to work, and has no means of livelihood; whether any portion of the award has been paid, and if not, can he say how soon payment will be made.

Arrangements have now been completed in my department for the consideration and payment of decrees for injuries to the person sustained within the period 21st January, 1919-11th July, 1921. The case referred to comes within the category, is receiving all due consideration, and will be disposed of as soon as possible.
