Vol. 2 No. 34

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - FERMOY TRADERS AND MILITARY.

SEAN O DUINNIN

To ask the Minister for Defence whether since they came to Fermoy the National Army owe a very considerable sum to traders in that town; whether repeated applications have been made to the military authorities and no payments so far have been made as ; whether part or whole of the large sum due to the Royal Hotel Company for accommodation and supplies to officers, troops, and prisoners from the 14th of August to the 31st December, 1922, will be paid in the near future.

The Minister for Defence has asked me to reply for him. The answer is as follows: I am not aware that a very considerable sum is outstanding on Army accounts in Fermoy. The account of the Royal Hotel has been under investigation and a very early decision will be reached.
