CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ WRITTEN ANSWERS. ] - ARREST OF MR. PROUT, SOLICITOR.

To ask the Minister for Defence whether Ernest William Prout, solicitor, of 9 Leinster Street, Dublin, was arrested on Friday, March 2nd, at his residence, 69 Albert Road, Glenageary, by National Forces, and is still in custody; whether any charge has been, or is intended to be, formulated against him, and, if not, whether there is any ground for his continued detention.

Mr. Prout was arrested as stated. He is detained pending the completion of enquiries regarding him. In the course of a few days a charge will be formulated against him or he will be released.
