Vol. 2 No. 40

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - CLAIM FOR COMMANDEERED MOTOR.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

To ask the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that a motor car, the property of Mr. Michael McMunn, Stoneyford, Mullingar, was commandeered by National Troops on 24th May, 1922; that it was then taken to Ballymahon, where it is being used at present by the National Troops. Further, whether the Minister has received a claim for compensation to the amount of £750; and, as the car was this man's means of livelihood, will he see the claim receives prompt attention?

I have not had time to complete inquiries in this case, regarding which no claim has been received, but which will receive urgent attention.
