Vol. 2 No. 42

DAIL IN COMMITTEE - DR. McCARTAN'S MOTION.

I beg to move the adjournment of the Dáil till 3 o'clock tomorrow, and in doing so I should like to say there was a resolution on the agenda this afternoon for discussion, and it was adjourned, on the motion of the Deputy in whose name it stood. It is not, I think, usual to ask that resolutions such as that should be postponed or adjourned. I think some Deputies had come here to hear that motion discussed, and the Ministry were no parties to the postponement of it. Of course, the Deputy asked me if I had any objection to his postponing it. I said no, there was no objection; but there was no agreement with regard to it, and it must not be taken as a bargain or anything of that sort. I would like the Dáil not to be under any misapprehension with regard to that.

The Dáil adjourned at 5.20 p.m.
