Vol. 2 No. 43

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DEPENDENTS' ALLOWANCE.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

To ask the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that dependents' allowance has not been paid to Mrs. Dillon, Custom Gap, Moate, in respect of her son, Volunteer Joseph Dillon, who joined the National Army in July, 1922; whether he is aware that Volunteer Dillon, previous to enlisting, contributed £2 5s. weekly towards his mother's upkeep. Further, to ask in view of this, the Minister will see that allowance is granted, as Mrs. Dillon is very badly off.

Mrs. Dillon's claim has recently been assessed, and arrears of the allowance have been paid.
