Vol. 2 No. 44

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - IRISH TEACHERS IN ENGLAND.

To ask the Minister for Education whether he is aware of the recent decision of the English Board of Education depriving Irish teachers now serving in schools in England and Wales of the right to have their previous service in Irish schools recognised for salary and pension purposes, and if he intends to take any action thereon.

I have no official information as to the decision of the English Board of Education referred to in the question, and, in any event, the matter is not one in which I can properly claim any right to interfere.
