Vol. 3 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - IRISH DELEGATION OFFICES.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he is aware that the office of the Irish delegation in Berlin, situate at 21 Kaiser Allee, is located at an address remote from the city; whether he is aware that that address comprises upwards of 40 separate apartments and offices on five separate flights of stairs; that there is no indication of any kind at that address, either at the main entrance or at the door of the flat occupied by the Delegation or elsewhere showing the name of the Delegation or of the Irish Representative to enable enquirers to find the office, upon which the only name inscribed is that of a German tenant; what is the reason for this singular state of affairs, and whether he will undertake to have it remedied immediately?

The Minister is not aware that the facts are as stated. If they are it is contrary to instructions issued by this Department.

Inquiries are being made, and if it is found that the facts are as stated by the Deputy the matter will be rectified.
