Vol. 3 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - WORKERS' ARREST.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the reasons for the arrest of Messrs. C. O'Connell, Chairman; Pat Fitzgerald, Secretary; T. Forde, J. Flynn, J. Harte, and J. O'Regan, members of the Branch Committee of the Bishopstown Branch of the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union, and if he will give instructions for their immediate release?

Harte was arrested in connection with a bomb outrage in Bishopstown, was tried and sentenced to three years' hard labour. I am making some enquiries into the cases of the other men.
