CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - LONGFORD MAN'S ARREST.

asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether he is aware that Frank Dempsey, of Edgeworthstown, was arrested with four others on November 11th, 1922, on a charge of robbery under arms, and after being brought before a District Court in that month was returned for trial at Longford Assizes in February of this year; whether Frank Dempsey was not brought before the Assize Court but is still detained in Mountjoy Prison; and whether, in view of the fact that the four others who were arrested with Frank Dempsey were acquitted, it is proposed to proceed with the charge against Frank Dempsey, and, it not, whether he will be released without further delays?

who replied: Frank Dempsey is in military custody. It is proposed to put him on trial forthwith.
