Vol. 3 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - TRANSFER TO CIVIC GUARD.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that a good many soldiers of the National Army on active service are desirous of being transferred to the Civic Guard, and if he would facilitate those men in doing so, and on what terms could the transfer be arranged.

Applications have been received from time to time from soldiers and have in each case been referred to the Civic Guard Commissioner. In all cases of acceptance the discharges of the soldiers are arranged for with the least possible delay.
