Vol. 3 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - KILDARE FARM TROUBLE.

asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether he is aware that, on the night of April 3rd, the farm of Mr. H.S. Large, of Rebhan, Athy, was visited by a number of men, who badly damaged a motor car, two ploughs, two harrows, a mowing machine, and other machinery; whether there is reason to suspect that the damage was inflicted because Mr. Large had come to an agreement a few days previously to re-employ farm labourers at the preexisting rate of wages; and what steps the Minister is prepared to take to guarantee immunity from such malicious attacks.

Since the occurrence of this incident the Civic Guard have given special attention to the property of Mr. Large, and all possible police measures are being taken with regard to the matter.
