Vol. 3 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT ACT.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether it is his intention to introduce legislation to amend the Ministry of Transport Act, 1919, or in substitution therefor, and whether, before the form of any proposed legislation is finally settled, he will give an opportunity to the interests concerned, especially those mentioned in Section 22 of the Ministry of Transport Act, 1919, to consider and express their views upon the suggested legislation.

It is not proposed to introduce immediate legislation affecting the Ministry of Transport Act, 1919. I would, however, refer the Deputy to my reply to the last question. He may be assured that all the intterests concerned will be afforded adequate opportunity to express their views when amending legislation is under consideration.
