Vol. 3 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY EXAMINATIONS.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that considerable expense is entailed upon the parents of boys and girls taking up chemistry and resident in the country by the fact that the Preliminary Examination in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is still held in Dublin only, and whether he can arrange to facilitate country candidates by holding the examination in Cork and Galway also.

Níl an scrudú atá i gceist annseo faoi cúram Aire an Oideachais. (The examination in question does not come under the control of the Ministry of Education.)

Can the Minister say who is the authority for the holding of these examinations?

I could not answer that at this moment. It is an Incorporated Society or body of that kind that has control of these examinations.
