Vol. 3 No. 23

[WRITTEN ANSWERS.] - LEIX CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has already received repeated and pressing demands for compensation from James Monahan, Keelough, Rushall, Mountrath, Leix, arising out of the death of his wife on March 29th, 1922, which was caused by being knocked down by a military lorry at Larry's Cross, Mountrath, Leix, and if he can now state definitely when he will be in a position to deal with and finally dispose of this old outstanding claim.

The delay in dealing with the case is regretted. £50 is being paid as compensation to Mr. Monahan to-day.
