Vol. 3 No. 24

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - APPEALS FROM DAIL PRE-TRUCE COURTS.

asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether he is aware that an action was instituted in the Republican Courts by Mrs. Ethel Calmenson against Messrs. Gerald Byrne and Co., which action was dismissed by Judge Crowley, and that an appeal against this decision was lodged by the Plaintiff, but in consequence of the abolition of the Courts, the appeal has never been heard; and what provision the Government is making for the hearing of this and other cases which were pending at the time of the abolition of the Republican Courts.

The facts are as stated in the question. Legislation will be introduced at an early date making provision for the hearing of appeals in such cases.
