Vol. 3 No. 30

DAIL IN COMMITTEE. - THE DAIL RESUMES.

Bill as amended in Committee reported.
Report Stage ordered for Wednesday, 27th June.

It was arranged to take Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Estimates to-day.

In reference to these Estimates I wish to mention that the Finance Bill is being considered by the Seanad at the moment, and the President is there. I do not know whether it would be better to postpone these Estimates, or whether, their not being very highly controversial, we might perhaps go on in his absence. It is a matter rather for the Dáil than for the Ministers.

Number 8 is not controversial. No. 9 is.

They are nearly all in connection with the Finance Department.

They nearly all are. I would not like to take the Board of Works Estimate in the President's absence.

The Minister is not going to move No. 8?

Then I think I will adjourn the Dáil under my own powers until 6 o'clock.

The Dáil adjourned at 4.30 p.m. and resumed at 6 p.m.
