Vol. 3 No. 34

[ WRITTEN ANSWERS. ] - DEPENDANTS' ALLOWANCE (RATHOWEN).

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that dependants' allowance has not been paid to Mr. Patrick Harte, Joanstown, Rathowen, Westmeath, in respect of his son, Corporal Patrick Harte, who attested in March, 1922, and is at present in hospital in Dublin, and who, prior to enlisting, contributed towards the upkeep of the home; and, further, as the father is in bad circumstances, owing to being in delicate health, will the Minister see that allowance be granted in this case.

No application for dependants' allowance appears to have been received from Mr. Harte. On the information contained in the question a claim has been prepared and is being investigated.
