Vol. 4 No. 24

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. [ ORAL ANSWERS. ] - DUBLIN SOLDIERS KILLED IN KERRY.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that the relatives of many Dublin soldiers killed on active service and buried in Co. Kerry, have made several applications to have the bodies brought to Dublin for burial, and whether, in view of the very strong desire of these bereaved relatives, the Minister is prepared to recommend that the requests be granted.

Yes. The general matter is under sympathetic consideration, but I cannot say when a decision will be taken.

Could the Minister promise to give an early decision on the subject?

I cannot say at the moment whether a very early decision can be given, but the matter is under sympathetic consideration.
