Vol. 5 No. 20

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIMS BY RIVER SLANEY USERS AGAINST MILITARY.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is yet in a position to deal with the claims of the owners of barges and fishing boats on the River Slaney, whose means of livelihood were seriously interfered with by National Troops during last year's hostilities.

Mr. HOGAN (for Minister for Defence)

It is regretted that no decision has yet been arrived at in respect of the claims in question. The matter is at the moment in hands, and it is hoped to bring it to a conclusion at an early date.
